Friendly Reminder for Families
As outlined in your Enrolment Contract, families whose child/children will not be continuing at ÌÇÐÄÖ±²¥ in 2027 are kindly asked to provide notice by Thursday 1 October 2026 to avoid fees in lieu of notice. Please complete the linked prior to the commencement of Term 4, 2026.
We greatly appreciate receiving notice as early as possible, as this assists us in offering available places to new families seeking enrolment at ÌÇÐÄÖ±²¥.

Flu season is upon us. If your child is unwell, please do not send them to school.
Darling Downs Public Health Unit have requested that we send all parents/carers the following letter, which includes a Flu Fact Sheet.

CLC Choral Showcase - Monday 17 August 2026
To ensure the evening is enjoyable for all families, particularly those with younger students, the concert will run for approximately one hour. The evening will feature performances by the Year 3 and 4 Choir, Junior College Performance Choir, Secondary College Choir, Con Voce, and a CLC combined Choir.
We would love for you to join us for this special evening as our choirs present the repertoire they have been preparing ahead of the Paul Morton Festival (Senior Campus) and Sing Out (Year 5/6 Junior Campus). It promises to be a wonderful celebration of our students' musical achievements and a fantastic opportunity to perform before these important festivals in front of a supportive audience.

Student Supervision Before School
To help ensure the safety of all students, we would like to remind families that staff supervision begins at 8:00am each morning. As students are not supervised before this time, any students and parents who arrive prior to 8:00am will be asked to wait outside Reception until staff are on duty.
For families using the morning drive-through, we also ask that students remain in their vehicles until a staff member is on duty and available to supervise. Morning duty commences at 8:00am.
We appreciate your support and cooperation in following these procedures. By working together, we can help ensure a safe and well-supervised start to each school day for all students. Thank you for assisting us in keeping our students safe.
JC Year 5 Containers for Change Excursion - Tuesday 18 August
As part of our Project Based Learning (PBL) on Sustainability, the Year 5 students will be visiting Containers for Change at Harristown on Tuesday 18 August. The students will have a guided tour of the venue and learn about recycling cans and bottles.

JC Year 2 Connections to Local Places Tour and Walk Excursion - Thursday 20 August
As part of their HASS studies, the Junior College Year 2 students will be going on a tour of Toowoomba incorporating the Japanese Gardens, Gumbi Gumbi Gardens, Botanical Gardens and Queens Park playground. They will be walking around each location and will conclude the tour with lunch at El Attar Middle Eastern Grill Restaurant. on Thursday 20 August.

Rise & Read Club
Start your day with a story!
The library is excited to introduce the Rise & Read Club offering students the opportunity to start their day off right - with some reading time, of course. Starting in Week 7 (Book Week!), students will be offered the chance to come along to the library and find a cosy reading spot under the Library Tree, do some extra returns and borrowing or even learn more about our collections, our online catalogue and how to find their next great read with some help from Mrs Trappett.
Parents are welcome to drop their child/ren off to the library and continue with their day or they can stay for the morning and soak up the book joy with their child/ren.
Here's what you need to know:
Day/Time - 7.45am every Wednesday Morning
Where - JC Library at WSC
Supervision - 2 Staff Members will be on site for supervision
Logistics - Parents can drop their students to the Library and sign them in with one of the staff members. The students will then be walked over to the JC by staff in time for the beginning of the school day.
